Everyday, millions of people use their cellular phones. As they make and receive calls, the network and billing systems are keeping track of specific details about those calls. Where did the call originate? When did it terminate? Who do they call and who calls them? These records are commonly referred to as Call Detail Records, or CDR’s, and a person’s CDR’s contain a wealth of information. This information is potentially valuable evidence.

Cellular Data Resources provides the training you need to be able to read, understand and interpret CDR’s.

In our two day hands on course, you will be given a crime to investigate, along with all of the related call detail records. You will analyze the records, apply the results of your analysis to the case at hand and based on your findings, you will make a determination as to how viable your suspect is. All of this is interactive and hands on.

We know what it is like to be new to a department or new to a field. Sometimes when you are new, it can be difficult to even ask the right questions. “You don’t know what you don’t know” as they say. Perhaps you have used cell phone records in some way in past investigations. Would it have been beneficial to have known which side of the tower the suspect was likely to have been on when that call was made? Or to be able to tell if your suspect was likely to have been on the move despite the beginning tower and ending tower being the same? As with any new technology, there is a learning curve to go through before you are actually up to speed.
